Andre Brookins Parker's Atlanta Steakhouse Executive Chef

As the son of a passionate home-cook and Executive Chef, Andre Brookins’ life has been surrounded by fine dining and diverse foods. He has traversed the Atlantic coast, from his hometown of West Hempstead, New York to his current abode in Riverside, Atlanta. Andre spent most of his childhood sampling the diverse cuisine that could be found in the nearby delis and ethnic restaurants, which inspired his passion for preparing imaginative dishes.

Andre jumped headfirst into the culinary world, starting at the bottom and working his way up. He began his career at McDonald’s, followed by stints at restaurants in Virginia Beach, Asheville, and Atlanta. Andre mentored under Chef Ryan Hidinger of Muss &Turner’s, followed by a Sous Chef position at Bocado with Chef Todd Ginsberg. Working as Chef de Tournade at Woodfire Grill and also organizing an avant garde dinner series with Chef Tyler Williams solidified Andre as one of the premier chefs in the the greater Atlanta area.

Currently, one can get a taste of what Chef Andre has in store at Parker’s on Ponce in downtown Decatur, GA. When he’s not in the kitchen or traveling to seek new culinary inspiration, Andre can be found enjoying time with his family, gardening, and urban foraging.
